Our Needs Assessment and Analysis Methodology:

  Description

Needs Assessment   Questions/discussion aimed at determining the difference between current and desired conditions.
Needs
Analysis
  Selecting and prioritizing needs. Answering the question: Which needs, when realized, will have the largest impact on personal and organizational goal achievement?
Front-End
Analysis
  Procedure used to determine the cause of performance deficiencies in order to develop a solution that most effectively treats the real problem. A mechanism to match problems with solutions.
Goal
Analysis
  Clarification of goals. In order to achieve a goal, it is necessary to specify the performances, which collectively comprise the goal achievement. Here we identify the specific behaviors or performances that define achievement.
Task
Analysis
  Procedure used to determine the sequence of behaviors leading to achievement of outcomes. In order to successfully empower an individual, we need to know what he/she has to know or be able to do in order to achieve a goal/perform a task. Subordinate outcomes/skills are often identified and these may have prerequisite behaviors. By treating the lower-order skills we are able to build a solid foundation and most effectively bring about positive and lasting workflow improvements.



Solution Design

After a thorough Needs Analysis, Mantis begins to work with our clients' business managers to develop an effective custom solution.

During the Solution Design phase, a Mantis project manager serves as a single point of contact and accountability for the timely and effective implementation of the project. The project leader attends all review meetings and serves as the key focal point for all technical project issues. The project leader will maintain an active presence and perform the key coordination tasks throughout the project term. The specific tasks to be performed include:

  • Coordination with all project resources and the client project liaison
  • Status reporting for all project tasks and phases
  • Planning and project engineering for all project tasks
  • Developing, maintaining and reviewing the project schedule
  • Resource scheduling and resource reporting
  • Measurement controls, monitor tasks, and technical conflict resolution
  • Information distribution, documentation and meeting representation
  • Quality control, validation/verification tasks
  • Acceptance of product and final approval authorizations

The Project Leader will provide weekly project status reports for the client Project Liaison. All project participants will receive and review copies.

The Project Leader is also responsible for informing client project management of any changes to the system that might affect other aspects of their business (ie. Printing, faxing, email, Internet, etc.).


It will be the responsibility of the project manager to manage the internal resources needed to fulfill the successful implementation of the project. This includes scheduling technical, application and training resources.


Implementation and Training

A timely and error-free installation and an effective training program can mean the difference between success and failure. Without the proper implementation and training procedures, weeks or even months of frustration for management and support personnel and downtime for end-users can choke a practice, stretching the return on investment (ROI) to years or even worse, rendering the solution ineffective or unusable.
Mantis has been brought in by other technology vendors to "bail them out" after unsuccessful technology implementations. We know how to help our clients turn the corner and effectively implement new technology - even when the technology is not ours.
We specialize in workflow solutions and understand both the operational and psychological needs involved in change management. Our professional team of installation and training experts saves time and money for our clients, while guaranteeing a successful partnership.

Since hardly any two people work exactly alike, we have developed training modules that can be implemented at your work place utilizing both group and individual teaching techniques. We cover the basics in a group environment (in a PC lab or conference room) and then our instructors work individually with each (end user) to maximize his/her particular work habits using their new technology tools.
Our flexible training services allow our clients to give extra attention to the folks who need it, or would benefit most from it, while allowing users who would rather learn on their own get the basics and then discover the intricacies of the software at their own pace.

Since we also employ experts in organizational development, we develop custom training programs for onsite trainers. Our "Train the Trainer" Service gives clients the flexibility to develop their own training program for their solution. By training "experts" in-house, we make sure each client has qualified personnel available to them when they need them. In order to enable continuous workflow improvements and in order to keep your end users up to speed on the latest product advancements, we also offer refresher courses and continuous learning modules. We update our clients' experts' skill set as new features are released with periodic "train the trainer" follow-up classes.

Before Mantis had its own technology products, our team of highly skilled technologists were called upon by many clients throughout the country to make their systems solutions work. The core of our initial offerings revolved around supporting IT managers and end-users. We were providing tools and support services to clients since day one of our existence.

Mantis offers flexible support and maintenance services to our clients. Our support center staff utilizes the latest technologies to monitor client systems and deliver quality services on a day-to-day basis.

Our expert field teams extend our support services all the way to client site. Whether for periodic testing and maintenance or for more immediate systems support needs, Mantis employs quality professionals, who live and breath for the satisfaction of our clients.
